Description

This was initially an overkill explanation to my teacher when I showed him my Octofan animation and he wanted to know how to do it. :XD:
EDIT: He really enjoyed it! :la: (God I'm blushing)
"Thank you so much for the tutorial! It was clear and fun to read. You are very talented! I might try to get the next class doing this project to do an animated version also. I should take classes from you! "

But I figured I'd upload this here just in case it helps someone else! :la:
I'm not a master of photoshop, but I've been using it for 4 or 5 years now, so feel free to ask any questions!

Also this is a very technical tutorial... I'm sorry but it doesn't go into depth about how to actually animate (heck I'm still figuring that out) but you can use this method to make any kind of GIF you want!

(You know you're jealous of my awesome Rayman Legends Wallpaper. ;) )

First of all, Megan, a happy birthday shout out to you from California. (Just thought of the corniest birthday song to sing, but I'll spare you.) I know this is an oldie, but it caught my eye today. Back in 2008 when I went back to the university at the ripe age of 55 (I'm even riper now!) to study digital animation, this was one the first things my professor taught us. Haven't done animation in a while, and I miss it. Anyway, you have such an appealing friendly style of work. Thank you for sharing, and thanks for your generosity in sharing your techniques. More tutorials, please. Wishing you a great celebration that lasts every day of the year ahead.
Cheers and best regards,
Ed
